See if you can nab someone’s dotfiles
Interesting idea to take “non-programmers (such as artists)” out of their normal professional workflows (e.g. adobe creative) and putting them in yours for the sake of productivity. What hardware are we talking about? Are you running a vm? That won’t work on apple silicon. (Which creative types overwhelmingly use)
Bonus question: You “want to develop a game” and are “considering collaborating with others”? What’s the scale and where are we at with making the game? Because worrying about your team’s workflow sounds a lot like having that $10 million idea and buying a domain name before writing a line of code.
That said, I’ve done this kind of thing before. Pick something. Anything. And write scripts to automate most of it. You will never get a 100% turn key solution, and everything has a tradeoff. Solve enough of the problem and go work on your game.
I run it on a 6700xt
Could be worse could be luke smith
Are the webapps free or do you have to pay for them too? Could be a good option if collaborating with other people is important.
I need to go put my DVD drive back in my tower to try this!
Silly a thing as is, I have never had a language I enjoyed the way it wrote as much as rust.
Who asks about your history? Genuinely curious.
You are forgetting Knights Templar, Crusades, Inquisitions. Worth mentioning, all of these ended in failure.
Try the arch wiki too!
Maybe you can use a public computer at your friendly neighborhood library
It is impossible for an individual, barring a very niche case. And why waste labor provided by someone else? So far as I know, edge is base on, but not a fork of chromium. If that is microsoft’s approach, I can’t imagine anyone doing differently. Except for maybe a government “forking” by close sourcing a “fork”. (Which someone has definitely done). What’s going to come of that? The FSF suing the US department of defense? I’d support it, but good luck.
I imagine the inner circle is very like minded and he’s planned for his departure substantially more than Bram Moolenaar (“What’s your long term plan for vim?” “keep me alive”) My prediction: Linux will remain more or less the same.
That’s very helpful now. You have added nothing other than to pull the declarative distro equivalent of “I use Arch, BTW” And then link your literal code. For shame. For shame.
Do a web search for ‘color pallet’ and pick one that looks good with your black replacing the darkest color
I can appreciate that. Especially if the files in question are of sentimental value.
I would suggest transferring your files to a new drive anyway because of bit rot.
Being the typical helpful (pushy and self-important) Linux user, I might add there is no reason you can´t transfer them to Linux 😜
If it isn’t for professional reasons you absolutely can’t avoid, I would switch wholesale. As a once famous song said “Freedom isn’t free. It costs folks like you and me. Andif you don’t put in your buck o five who will?”
