lambda is the time window over which a process is observed for determining the working memory set for a digital computer’s virtual memory management.

I have tried probably over a hundred and never had that happen once. I hear you. But, there is only one version now and if your compose file doesn’t work it’s just incorrect.
Huh? They officially support it and there is no need for a version any more. It’s standardised. As a matter of fact, if you try to start a compose stack that starts with a version number it gives you a warning that it’s not needed.
How is it feature wise? Parity with xmpp/matrix? Better?
Hugo builds obsidian notes? I know it’s just markdown. But there are some things specific to obsidian. Like the double bracket to link to other notes in the same vault.
I hope that there is a dark mode! lol I checked it out. I’ll probably try it soon.
That’s fair. It’s just a lot of money right now.
That’s the problem making me think about switching now lol
The plugin is nice to know about. I was just putting the vault in a syncthing folder.
The blog post linked within was a good read.
Its also possible that out of the people who hate on it, the people who haven’t actually tried it outnumber the ones who have.
I agree. People need to chill.
Fair enough. Personally, I am a developer who only has worked professionally in C#. C/C++ scare me. I would get used to it if I were to use it professionally. on the other hand, I picked up rust as a hobby language for some low level stuff because I love the guardrails the compiler provides. I think rust would help make me a better C programmer TBH.
Do you have something against it? People hate on it like it’s a fad or whatever. But, the people who like it, LOVE it.
Rust is the most admired language, more than 80% of developers that use it want to use it again next year.

Rust is on its seventh year as the most loved language with 87% of developers saying they want to continue using it.

8 years in a row. I can understand the perspective of someone who spent years honing their craft in C/C++ and not wanting to learn a new language. But, the Harassment of the “Rust in Linux Lead” is ridiculous. I’m not saying you are harassing. But, saying it’s a tech bro thing is just negative and doesn’t do justice to how many devs just like rust.
I have three questions if you have the time. Can you make it go to desktop mode by default, not big picture mode? What DE does it come with, Plasma? Does it come with Lutris or whatever? If I have an .exe installer for an old game, does it come pre-installed with tools to help create the proton wine-prefixes and everything? I imagine the last one would allow Flatpak to be used.
I just want an app to backup all the photos from my phone automatically. I use NextCloud for that currently and it works well. But, it’s kinda heavy for what I want/need.
That’s my main thought as well. If something about yours is better, suggest a fix to the developer. You could both mutually benefit.
