Without some level of beneficial dictatorship all projects are doomed if moderation is required.
The ideas sound solid. One of Lemmy’s issue is different instances hosting the same community and frequently posting the same content. But too much centralization leads to lemmy.world admins controlling everything. Still there might be abuse such as people claiming every community name.
NVIDIA skimps out on VRAM needed for deep learning. If AMD could compete it would be huge as they often include more for cheaper.
Every Linux user has the earliest and lowest specced version of the 4k Lenovo thinkpad from back when 4k on a laptop was impractical and a stupid idea.
AMD’s marketing department is king of ruining a brand.
In general AMD support on Linux is great. I would choose the Yoga laptop and if drivers somehow end up not working return them. But trackpad and other drivers are usually not related to the CPU but whatever manufacturer made them.
AMD for sure. Especially Zen5 is amazing.
