If just for reading ereader is much easier on the eyes and amazing battery life. Completely different products I think.
It also has a Firefox extension that add download and subscribe buttons for Tubearchivist directly on youtube website.
Did they fix this bug when you put writer in Fullscreen it won’t actually be fullscreen and let a border of one pixel all around? It has been there ages.
Yesh numbers can be easily manipulated.
Netflix is “sold” along other services. Here many internet companies bundle netflix in their plans.
They don’t need to be attractive to the consumer. They just need to do a deal behind curtains with other companies and force Netflix on people by other ways. Numbers go up.
Not pirated. But my country, Spain, released an open AI model completely for free. Everything is open. The training data the models and everything. It’s supposedly ethically trained with open data(I have not personally dig in the training data but it’s there published).
It’s focused on spanish and regional languages of spain. But I think it can also do things in English.
Not piracy per se, as it’s completely legal. But there’s something you don’t depend on any bussiness to run.
Buying a 16 TB hard drive for… purposes.
Boardgames.
I am still to actually print them. But I have the files.
RPG books. These I actually have them printed.
If there were not for youtube shitty war on adblocks I was able to watch youtube 1080p on a 30 bucks android tv thingy.
I would have to check is someone built an alternative app to keep watching it because power of the device was no issue. When running on a minimal kodi installation it just worked fine.
I used to be able to watch yr on a 30 bucks android tv device in which I installed coreelec.
Sadly youtube apps on there stopped working for me a while ago due the war on adblocks. But the device was perfectly capable of playing YouTube.
I suppose that with tubearchivist and jellyfin you could still somehow watch youtube.
People gets excited to see something written in their favourite niche language.
Linux Mint is one of the most common gateway drug for getting into linux.
It’s incredibly easy to set up and use. And it has plenty of resources if you ran into any issue.
Around 18-20 Watts on idle. It can go up to about 40 W at 100% load.
I have a Intel N100, I’m really happy about performance per watt, to be honest.
I think linux mint is already there.
I don’t even know how could it be simplified more. It’s really basic.
The only obstacle there is the previous familiarity with other operative systems that could make change bard. But I’m pretty sure that if you put anyone truly novice in tech in front of linux mint and windows 11, they’ll have an easier time on linux mint.
I’m glad you have the coherence to had complaint about classical algorithms used to do exactly the same before. I remember you saying ““Java is just a tool” mf when it’s used to degrade society in every way imaginable”, after knowing how NSA used java written programs to spy on everyone. Very glad to know you are not one of those people how cannot justify their grudge only against AI tools, and completely shut their mouth to many others unethical uses of many other technologies.
In a more serious note. Sad to say that under capitalism every tool will be used to degrade society in every way imaginable. Going after the technologies is useless and counterproductive, the enemy is capitalism, not any particular technology. I know that the campaign of etsy artists against AI was strong, but we really need to look further into the analysis of what’s going on than “AI bad because I no longer can charge 200€ commission to some poor people that does not know how to paint for bad sonic fanpics” or “AI is bad because I got denied the change of massively own Intelectual Private Property and became a billionaire just sitting on my IPs while being paid for anyone using AI trained with my Private Property”. Analysis should go further. We should question why even people need those side hustles for a living, on why we allow companies use AI tools, or any other tools, for profiting out of society. It would make no sense to just go against AI, when what’s hurting people is not AI or any other particular technology, is bad people.
I work in a public administration. And 90% of our work is done on webapps anyway. There will be no difference if the os is windows or linux.
I like the meme.
I just wish they would merge the “truly infinite worlds” branch. The horizontal limits are to tight for this kind of game.
But can YOU run doom?
I have this book. It’s a few Kb in size and I have already seed Gb of it. It has an insane ratio. I think I will never delete that torrent.
