Piracy may have saved your life!
Piracy may have saved your life!
Struggling a bit to see how this story lends itself somehow to video. Is there a text based version of this?
As corporations and governments continue to to grow closer to being the same thing we should expect more and more comfort on their end with flat out lying to the same level that politicians have done for decades.
Even piracy subs need mods folks…
AF is considered to be the world’s most dangerous sport if you look at number of injuries weighted by severity. If you ask me, that’s precisely why it’s a “terrible sport”. Insinuating it’s lacking in some degree of toxic masculinity simply sounds ignorant.
Zuck should be put on suicide watch. He surely feels even worse than Swartz about what he has done.
Good news is that since feds go after individuals sometimes for petty crimes of piracy, they are surely going to dig in very deep to this corporate piracy with massive crippling fines that will set examples for other companies thinking of doing the same. Right?
Is there like a combo package that let’s me subscribe to all of these?
I’ve had email communication with the devs and again, I’m a biased donor. They are just starting afloat on donations. Respect your closed source concerns completely, but it’s a superior piece of software imo and I see no signs of malificence. If you are an open source purist I get it, there are other options. If you are using any closed source software at all though, it would seem to me hypocritical to show a bias against this particular app.
Who’s not using email? I’m green with envy, but I think it’s a ludicrous premise to think not many people are using email.
Not sure why it’s not more popular. I use and donate. I’ve had better performance with this than qbittorrent.
Adding this as the second app alrey this year that I’ll install simply based on the name alone (only drams being the other).
What the what? More relevant than ever. How is this a legitimate question? I2p is great but adoption is extremely low.
Is new egg back to being a good site to buy from? Felt like they got pretty crappy for awhile
Scihub database stops in 2021. Big win for corporate publishers and wealthy scientists; they’ve had an edge since then. It’s super important to have access to up to date resources. The database here seems to fill the gap - Merry Christmas to me!!
Just give them a usb of the show for Christ’s sake! Sneaker net that shit. Which show btw?
Wow. This is great, but man that seems like a lot of points of potential failure. Helpful to have a guide but this remains intimidating to me.
The irony of gpt talking about copyright violation is just so fucking rich.
I’ve long since given up on thinking Oscar winners equate to good films. It’s a closed voting system subject to cronyism and hidden agendas. I honestly would trust my time spent more with movie recommendations made by all you asshats on Lemmy. I’m not going to bury my head in the sand on Anora - the preview did nothing for me at all, but after winning all those awards, I’ll at least see what the fuss was about via pirating most likely. For 2024 films though, I’ve got Lisa Frankenstein on my to watch list before Anora though.
