Only seeding new stuff that everyone else is also seeding is not good for torrenting in general, it will kill a lot of content that’s more than a few years old and/or not completely mainstream.

Aren’t they located in Italy, the Shithole that keeps trying to outlaw all VPNs and/or force them to provide backdoors and identifiable customers? They can only be stopped so many times before they succeed…

12TB plan is €50/month though without a promo, which IMO is really fucking expensive.

Definitely go for prowlarr. you select the indexers you want to search through when you set it up the first time and then you just search for whatever you’re looking for in the searchbar and prowlarr will look through all the indexers you’ve selected and give you the result.

OP is specifically asking for something like torrentio (searching a large collection of indexers from one place) but without streamio. So no it’s not like that, but it is specifically what OP is asking for.

You don’t need to couple it to any of the other *arr solutions, it works perfectly well as a standalone search tool for manual torrent searching and downloading.

Maybe aside from needing to select the trackers you want to search (which is IMO still very intuitive) manually, how is prowlarr not an easy interface? There ia a search bar that you just write in, and that’s it.

I’m not entirely sure TBH, it’s on a private tracker so I’m not sure I should be using them when they’ve chosen to discontinue them? Either way, if just for cleanliness it would still be nice.

It is not in a dock. Yea, subnet of laptop is the same as the rest of the network.

I can reach the router from the laptop yes, I can see the laptop and it’s IP on the router too.

Laptop cannot ping or access jellyfin server, other devices can ping and access without issues.

It’s important that I can restrict certain users to specific content based on age rating, i dont want to do that manually. the server has content for both kids and adults, and my *arr stack + jellyfin works really well aside from these two devices which have quirks.

I’ve use Kodi years ago, i absolutely hated using it.

A simple and intuitive UI is important, since the kids have to be able to use it as well.

Yeah I really prefer as close to plug-and-play as possible, I don’t want to spend hours tinkering to get something that basic working.

I’ll take a look and see if it’s low effort enough.
