I’ve got some old seagate NAS drives that are in my temp data array (isos, annasarchive, etc) that are going on 15 years powered on. Seagate may have botched a lot of drives during the time these came out but these drives were solid.

I used to run Linux VMs in HyperV. It felt dirty.
The amount of games/movies I’ve purchased AFTER pirating them is pretty high
I’ve run Proxmox hosts with smb shares for literally a decade without issue. Performance is line speed now. Only issues I’ve ever had were operator error and that was a long time ago. SMB 3 works great.
It doesn’t fit your use case then. I check missing TV episodes once a week and i never interact with it outside of that. Once you get then set up it’s way more about organization than anything else.
+1 for Tdarr. 10tb almost 11 saved since I set it up.
Try out GoAcess.
I used to test my multi box setup way back when with private servers.
Old tech is holding the world together
I’ve yet to see a single email about any of the shit on here about Plex. I’m not defending any of these choices, just more confused as to who this applies to, where and when.
That’s just not how textures work though lol
Lol yeah. I went back and realized i missed the entire part of the upload. To be honest it’s still the single best system I’ve ever used for the task. I would still recommend it but you’d have to jank together some other stuff.
Metube to tdarr? Nvm metube only scrapes/pulls. Maybe a simple file share tool then have tdarr process that?
I heard enough out of the mpa(a) when they went after 2600 for linking info to DeCSS.

Just a reminder that the MPA is not a lawful entity.
Honestly no idea. I use Home Assistant and just keep an eye on the stats. It’s in an unheated garage that sees humidity of 40-60% and temps from 50F to 80f and it’s just chugged along.
I’m running an APC Smart UPS 1500 (APC-SUA1500R2) and I have never had any issues with pis. I’ve only used the 2/3 gens and a pizero.
RefurbUPS, new batteries every 3 years (i have handed over all my old ones to a local club and most of them are still going strong). I have a rack so i bought a rack unit. No rack might be cheaper even. Don’t cheap out though.
VM is backed up daily to PBS then synced to an external and off-site.
All the photos are on the NAS and backed up to an external and off-site.
8th gen Intel igpu and it’s transcoding streams and supporting a very active immich stack. I have 12 containers and 8 VMs. It’s been awesome.
