Well it’s not just Firefox, it’s all windows.

I tried that, but I had to shrink the second disk instead. Something about unmovable files on the C: drive that I couldn’t get rid of. But now that I’ve shrunk the D: drive it just seems to work. I got the missing option back and everything.

What I am missing is the third option for an express dual boot option, which was there the first time around.

Those are the options for setting up custom partitions ans formatting drives.

The second option doesn’t seem to show me what is on the second disk. It shows me the capacity, but not the used space, and I know there’s stuff on there.

Not that I know. I didn’t set it up to be, and I had no issue selecting the first option the first time around.

I don’t really mind either way. I don’t really know what to do though.

Thing is, I want to use my PC for more than just gaming, so I figured a gaming-focused distro might get in the way when I want to do non-gaming stuff.

Isn’t secure boot unnecessary if nobody else has physical access to the computer?

Well, mine is a Nvidia 4060 Ti, and I don’t have the money to change.

I think that if Linux is to be more widely adopted a more easily used distro needs to become mainstream. Let’s face it, the average computer user barely knows how to use Windows, just because you find Linux easy doesn’t mean they will.

Do you think you could teach Linux to your grandmother?

Sadly I bought my PC before switching to Linux was on the agenda. And I don’t have the money to change to AMD.

I went an changed to an Intel AX200 I had lying around, though now I have problems with the wireless availability dipping in and out of service. Like the card is being constantly power cycled.

It does, and I tried it.

It just goes to the boot selector.

Does that mean that even with secure boot turned off I would have no more luck?

Also, USB dongles should work though, right?

I don’t have any problem getting the installation media to work, changing the boot device is one of the only meta-OS things I can do right now.
